How much does it cost to sponsor a child?
You commit yourself to pay a certain amount each month, which we recommend to be paid quarterly. For children in daycare facilities and primary school, a monthly fee of 29 EURO will cover school fees, school books, uniforms, food and medical help. For children in secondary school and up, the monthly fees will increase (2-3 times). You can then choose to stay as the only sponsor by paying more or share sponsorship with someone else and keep up with the regular payment of 29 EURO.

How do I pay?
You pay in one of the following ways:

1. By credit card online (VISA or MasterCard). You can choose between monthly, quarterly or annual payments.
2. By mailing a check or international money order to Child Africa International, P.O. Box 396, 1502 Moss, Norway.

For how long do I commit myself to be a sponsor?
You commit yourself for an indefinite period of time, and we hope that you will help your sponsored child until he or she has finished their education, at least primary school. Also, we would like to encourage you to continue supporting "your" child through secondary school, high school and possibly university.

Your sponsorship is of course voluntary. So if you for any reason want to stop your support, you can login as a sponsor to our web-site and stop the sponsorship by clicking the link "Payment". We ask that you kindly will pay 3 months in advance before you quit your sponsorship so that we can be able to find another sponsor in order to keep the child in school.

How do I follow up on my child's progress?
As a sponsor, you will get your own sponsor page. Here you can see pictures of the child, you can send messages to each other and you will get details of how your sponsored child is doing at school. We expect to show video clips on our web-site by the middle of 2008.

Can I sponsor more than one child?
Yes. You can sponsor as many as you wish.

What happens if "my child" gets sick?
A doctor will be contacted in the local area and your child will get treatment and medicine.

If I choose to give a charity donation to a school project, how much do I have to give?
We are happy for any contribution you would like to make. Contact us via www.childafrica.org/contact.asp if you wish to make a charity donation, or just send us the amount you want to sponsor in one of the three ways mentioned under "How do I pay?" above. If for instance you want to give to one of our projects, you just make your choice under http://www.childafrica.org/projects.asp where specific amounts are posted for specific items to sponsor. Remember to mark your payment with the item(s) you have chosen to sponsor.
